OneSamurai: Dusk Steam Greenlight Trailer
The year is 1274 and the Kamakura Shogunate is celebrating the 82nd year since its establishment by Minamoto no Yoritomo. The current shogun Prince Koreyasu is also celebrating his 10th birthday under the regency of Hojo Tokimune. But all is not as stable as it seems. Only 16 years earlier the ruling Goryeo dynasty of Korea was forced to swear fealty to Kublai Khan the grandson of Genghis Khan and his Mongol Horde. Kublai Khan has aspirations to conquer from the coast of the Atlantic to the coast of the Pacific and his gaze may soon fall east. Inside Japan’s borders itself many different clans vow for land, power and strength and some for the chance to eventually rule the land of the rising sun for themselves. You start as a single man with no clan, land, power or strength but in end may have the potential to divert the course of Japanese history.
OneSamurai: Dusk covers the events of the first Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. You play as Akahoshi Aritaka a member of the Ao Ken Mercenary company who are investigating attacks on the western coast of Japan.
OneSamurai: Dusk covers the events of the Kamakura Shogunate of Japan in 1281.
OneSamurai: Dawn covers the events of the Emperors War against the Shogunate in 1331 where your decisions come to fruition in the final game of the OneSamurai series.

CHARACTERS AND CLANS
SOME FACTIONS OF ONESAMURAI
The Andou Clan are a clan based in Aomori, located in the Touhoku Region of Japan. The Clan Head in 1274 is Andou Goro. Andou Goro also has a son named Andou Shiki and a daughter named Gozen.
While Andou Goro is a friendly and jolly man, he also commands complete respect over his subjects and is known as a resilient warrior.
The Andou Clan’s territory of Aomori is the northernmost settlement in Japan. The Clan often trade with the Ainu people, found on the northern island of Ezo.
The Adachi Clan are a clan based in Ashikaga, located in the Kantou Region of Japan. The Ashikaga Clan also control the territory of Tsuruga. The Clan Head in 1274 is Ashikaga Yoshitada who also has a son named Sadashi.
Ashikaga Yoshitada is known as a diligent leader of his clan, but many find him to be a cold and cruel individual at times. His son is different, being known as a good warrior who has a humble, kind heart while also being involved in his local Temple.
The Genji Clan are a clan based in Totsukawa, located in the Kansai Region of Japan. The Clan Head in 1274 is Genji Yoshinobu. Genji Yoshinobu also has a son named Genji Kazan who manages their other territory the village of Hamada.
Genji Yoshinobu is known as a wise scholarly man.
The Genji Clan are descended from one of the old branches of the Japanese Imperial Family, though the once famous clan no longer hold as much sway as they once did.
The Hojo Clan are a clan based in Kamakura, located in the Kantou Region of Japan. The Clan Head in 1274 is Shikken(Regent of the Shogunate) Hojo Tokimune. The Hojo Clan hold many other domains including Ootsu, Numazu, Sakai and Shima.
Hojo Tokimune is possibly the most powerful man in the Shogunate with his family dominating the position of regent for generations. He is a major proponent of Zen Buddhism, and has influenced its introduction to the Samurai Class. Other members of the Hojo Clan also hold powerful positions at court.
The Imperial Court are based in Kyoto the capital of Japan. It is located in the Kansai Region of Japan. The Japanese Emperor in 1274 is the newly acceded Emperor Go-Uda.
Seven year old Emperor Go-Uda rose to the Chrysanthemum Throne after his father Emperor Kameyama abdicated, therefore being known as the Cloistered Emperor. Emperor Kameyama continues to hold influence and power at court, but his son Go-Uda has to carry out the ceremonial duties of Emperor.
The Kikuchi Clan are a clan based in Kumamoto, located in the Kyuushuu Region of Japan. The Clan head in 1274 is Kikuchi Takayasu. Kikuchi Takayasu has a son named Jirou and a daughter named Moa.
Kikuchi Takayasu is known to be in ill health, and has not been seen in public for a number of years. Instead his son Kikuchi Jirou takes care of most of the Clan Business. Kikuchi Jirou has somewhat of a mystic air about him, but is known to his followers as a charismatic and attentive man.
The Kouno Clan are a clan based in Matsuyama, located in the Shikoku Region of Japan. The Clan head in 1274 is Rokuro (Kouno Michiari). Rokuro has a son named Michimori.
The Kouno Clan are located on the island of Shikoku, the smallest of Japan’s main three islands. Matsuyama the seat of the Kouno Clan is famous for the bathhouse Dogo Osen. The Osen has been visited in the past by the Japanese Emperor and reportedly has healing properties, even once healing a god who was feeling unwell.
The Matsudaira Clan are a clan based in Iwade, located in the Kansai Region of Japan. The Clan head in 1274 is Matsudaira Hideaki. Matsudaira Hideaki also has a son named Arichika and a daughter named Emiko.
Though the Clan is small in power Matsudaira Hideaki is known to be a competent schemer. His son attempts to follow in his image but lacks the necessary intrigue to fill this role properly.
Iwade itself is a small inconsequential village with some lakes and a Shingon Buddhist Temple.
The Sou Clan are a clan based in Tsushima, located in the Sea of Japan. The Clan head in 1274 is Sou Sukekuni. Sou Sukekuni also has two sons named Umajiro and Moriaki.
The island of Tsushima serves as the gateway from Japan to mainland Asia with Buddhism and the Kanji writing system travelling through the area.
Due to Tsushima’s important location it has been heavily involved in trade and war. The island had some trade with the Korean Kingdoms and was also subject to invasion by Jurchen Pirates in 1019.
The Yuan Dynasty are the rulers of the Mongol Empire based in China, Mongolia and Korea with reach into Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Persia. The leader of the Dynasty is Kublai Khan, the grandson of Genghis Khan.
In 1258 the Mongols finished their war on the Korean Peninsula, with Korea agreeing to become a vassal state to the Mongol Empire.
The Mongols in 1274 are attempting to invade the Song Dynasty, the rulers of Southern China. Victory over the Song would allow the Yuan Dynasty to stretch their power across the whole of China.
